The Strypes Gig!

Good Evening!

As you may well know, I love a band called The Strypes!
They are a rhythm and blues rock band who I went to see in Manchester when they played The Ritz on the 26th of September. They are so good on CD and even better live!  The experience was just amazing!

Myself and my friend got right to the front of this amazing venue.  Admittedly, being right up next to the barriers with a rowdy crowd of one thousand behind you wasn't brilliant as we kept getting pushed up against the railings and squashed a bit, but it was well worth it for the view!

The concert kicked off with the support band, The Mighty Stef, who weren't bad but the sound wasn't exactly brilliant (from the speakers I mean) and also my ears hadn't yet accustomed to the loud noise!
When The Strypes came on I was screaming, along with the other thousand in the venue.  They played an amazing list of songs, mainly from their second album Little Victories but also a few from their first Snapshot and a few from their 4 Track Mind EP.  All of the songs top quality (by now my ears were well adjusted).

At the end of the gig, I bought a t-shirt and myself and my friend queued to get it signed by The Strypes themselves! When we reached the front I got my t-shirt signed and she got her ticket signed for a friend of hers.  Each of the lads in the band were extremely polite and Josh was the most talkative, even complimenting my t-shirt (thank you!)

Great night in all and I just hope I can go and see them again!

Anyway, thanks for reading.  Hope you enjoyed!
